CG DE SUB, LLC (CG USA), a wholly owned step-down subsidiary of CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited (CG), India, has entered into an agreement with Flanders Electric Motors Service, LLC (FLANDERS), a company specialising in electrical rotating equipment and technology solutions.

The partnership is intended to leverage local capabilities and offer superior products and services with competitive pricing and faster turnaround times to the US Railway Sector.

Growth strategy

The US market for railway traction motor replacements and refurbishments is substantial, with an expansive rail network spanning approximately 140,000 miles (three times larger than Indian Railways) and increasing demand for high-quality, reliable solutions, dominated by Class I railroads, according to a statement by CG Power.

“CG recognises a significant growth opportunity in the US. To accelerate its expansion and capture this growing market, CG US has entered into an agreement with FLANDERS. Both companies plan to scale capabilities and expand into USA rail markets, united by a shared commitment to technical excellence, reliability, and continuous improvement,” the statement added.

“Our association with FLANDERS complements our world-class manufacturing capabilities, allowing us to provide timely and cost-effective solutions to US rail operators. Together, we aim to redefine service standards and lead the way in the railway sector,” Amar Kaul, Global CEO and Managing Director of CG, said.
