Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5 Specs And Features Appear On NBTC Ahead Of Official Launch

As Samsung gears up for the imminent release of its highly awaited rugged tablet, the Galaxy Tab Active 5, various certification websites, including Singapore’s IMDA and the UAE’s TDRA, have marked its presence. The tablet, sporting model code SM-X306B, has recently surfaced on Thailand’s NBTC, continuing the trend of certifications.

Expected Specifications and Features

Recent renders of the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 5 provide a glimpse into its design, confirming notable features such as a single rear camera. The rugged tablet boasts an 8-inch display with substantial bezels and three physical buttons, Menu, Back, and Home, designed for glove-friendly control. Featuring Corning Gorilla Glass 5, it promises enhanced display protection, accompanied by a single front camera. The MIL-STD-810H-certified device houses a 13MP rear camera with an LED flash.

According to FCC, the tablet is set to include an S Pen stylus with a customizable programmable key. It ensures IP68 protection, aligning with the rugged nature of the device. Beyond hardware, the Galaxy Tab Active 5 will incorporate Samsung Knox security, face recognition, and fingerprint scanning.

Under the hood, the tablet is expected to run on an Exynos 1380 SoC, boasting 6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage with expandable options. The device will house a robust 5050 mAh battery and support 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and GPS connectivity. Running on Android 14, the Galaxy Tab Active 5 is poised to arrive in black and grey colour variants.
