Stellar Blade Outfit Guide: Where to find and how to earn every Nano Suit costume in the game

EVE, the protagonist of Stellar Blade, is a deadly force in the dystopian future, but she’s also a post-human fashion icon. The game has dozens of “Nano Suit” outfits and cosmetic accessories players can unlock, collect, and equip on EVE and her companions. Read on to find out where to find them and how to unlock all of them.

How to Unlock and Equip Stellar Blade Nano Suit Costumes

Stellar Blade costumes or Nano Suits can be found out in the world while exploring, typically from small, distinctive-looking treasure chests, but more often than not, Nano Suits will first be unlocked as a “Pattern,” meaning they’ll need to be crafted at a Repair Station using some of the Polymer Materials you’ll find dropped off of enemies and from resource caches. You’ll unlock the Repair Station after clearing Eidos 7 for the first time.

Crafting a Nano Suit from a pattern unlocks it for free use in the equipment menu, and costs the following resources:

  • 25 Extreme Polymer Material
  • 50 Advanced Polymer Material

You can also buy polymer materials from in-game item vendors, including from Sisters’ Junk in Xion and D1G-g2r’s Shop in the Wasteland.

There are a few Nano Suits that are found outright, though, such as the Black Pearl costume that is unlocked by finding all 49 Hidden Can collectibles, or the La Vie En Rose costume unlocked by completing a long side quest.

Stellar Blade Nano Suits in New Game Plus and Beyond

Of the more than 70 total Nano Suits for EVE in Stellar Blade, 42 can be worn in the base game, while 37 can be earned in New Game Plus, or require completion of a non-campaign game mode (like Boss Challenge). Almost all of the New Game Plus suits are placed in the exact same spots as Nano Suits in the base game. They’re also mainly recolored versions of existing Nano Suits rather than entirely new designs.

Imagine an invisible fairy “restocked” a bunch of the small treasure chests with new suits to reward players for putting in the extra effort to find and reopen them on their second run.

For your convenience, we’ll point out when a given base game Nano Suit has a New Game Plus variant, and give you the name of the suit. We’ll also highlight any relevant differences in how to acquire it.

Note that there may be minor spoilers for the names of locations and certain boss fights, as these are used to navigate you to the suits’ locations.

Read on for the full list of EVE’s Nano Suits, arranged alphabetically.

Stellar Blade Nano Suits for EVE

As the main playable character, EVE benefits greatly from developer Shift Up’s dedication to making Stellar Blade a sort of dress-up game for the action RPG set, with dozens of costumes to find and choose from.

Black Full Dress

This dress, which is patterned after the formal uniform for Airborne Squad members, happens to be one of the few outfits in the game that doesn’t have high heels.

How to Get:

The pattern is purchaseable in Xion, at the store of Lyle, after completing the side quest Stolen Treasure.

New Game Plus Variant:

The White Full Dress is a variant of the suit with a different lighting patten and a majority blue-and-white color scheme. It’s acquired from the same place in New Game Plus.

Black Kunoichi

The Black Kunoichi Nano Suit dresses EVE in a kimono-like top reminiscent of the ninja girls from Dead or Alive, complete with armguards and leggings.

How to Get:

All players received the Black Kunoichi Nano Suit automatically after the Stellar Blade version 1.003 update launched in June 2024. Players can access it from their inventory at any time.

Variant:

The White Kunoichi variant was added at the same time as the Black Kunoichi Nano Suit, and was also added automatically to players’ inventories.

Black Pearl

Basically a set of lingerie, this is arguably the skimpiest costume in the game short of the Skin Suit.

How to Get:

Unlocked automatically by collecting all 49 Hidden Can collectibles and visiting the Can Display Box in Xion.

New Game Plus Variant:

The Red Pearl Nano Suit is a red-tinted version of the Black Pearl, but since you can’t re-collect the Hidden Cans, you can purchase the pattern from Lyle’s Shop in Xion. You must have unlocked the Black Pearl suit first to obtain the suit from Lyle.

Black Rose

This idol-like outfit is unlocked during the visit to Spire 4, after the game’s first point of no return.

How to Get:

In the Raphael Space Center Lobby area, you’ll encounter a door that can be opened that contains a series of rotating lasers that activate when you enter the room. Jump over the lasers to access the chest. Opening the chest will unlock the pattern.

New Game Plus Variant:

The Angelic Rose is a more patterned, red-hued version of the Black Rose, and unlockable from the same chest when visited during New Game Plus.

Black Wave

This Nano Suit is a pirate-themed swimsuit with a long-sleeved cropped top in sailor suit style.

How to Get:

This suit pattern is found in a treasure chest in the southeastern area of the Great Desert, slightly east of the Debris-filled Entryway Supply Camp. You’ll need to pull a platform into position to climb up and get on the rooftop, where you’ll be able to approach the chest.

New Game Plus Variant:

A blue-tinted version with racing stripes and a different logo is called Wild Wave and found in the same place in New Game Plus.

Blue Monsoon

This blue-and-yellow swimsuit is one of several swimwear-themed Nano Suit options for EVE.

How to Get:

The suit is unlocked from completing the Precious Treasure bulletin board request. This request can be taken after unlocking the Great Desert area. You’ll find the chest containing the outfit in the Collapsed Overpass section of the map, near the southeast corner on top of one of the two collapsed overpasses running towards the tunnels to the south. You’ll need to blow up some boxes to dislodge a bus and turn it into a ramp that allows access to the chest, which is beside a wrecked car.

Note that you cannot open the chest without the request active, even if you see it before you actually receive the request.

New Game Plus Variant:

The White Monsoon swimsuit is a plain white version of the suit, accessible from the same chest in New Game Plus. The same requirements apply.

Crew Style

Added in a post-launch update, this New Game Plus-exclusive Nano Suit is one of the few New Game Plus outfits that isn’t strictly a variant of an existing base campaign costume, though it bears some similiarities to the Black Full Dress outfit.

How to Get:

The chest containing the Crew Style outfit is found in the south-central portion of the Wasteland, in the clifs north of the entrance to Arvess Levoire. From the nearby Supply Camp, enter the area east of Arvess Levoire that’s sectioned off by a fence to find a way to climb up the cliffs. Take the detours around until you reach a suspended bridge that brings you over the same supply camp. On the other side of the bridge is the chest.

New Game Plus Variant:

There is no New Game Plus Variant of the Crew Style suit, since it’s already exclusive to New Game Plus.

Cyber Magician

The Cyber Magician Nano Suit is essentially a casino-style bunny girl outfit (minus the ears), blending a tuxedo-style tailcoat with a tight leotard and stockings.

How to Get:

You’ll find the suit pattern inside a high-security chest in the Wasteland Basin section of the Wasteland map, in the northeast corner. From the nearby fast travel phone booth, you’ll see a small gated settlement guarded by some enemies. After clearing the enemies, you’ll find a plate-pushing puzzle, where you push carts and supply crates on top to expose the chest.

After opening the chest you’ll have to play a brief shooting minigame. Hit the black targets and avoid the red ones.

New Game Plus Variant:

The Cyber Trickster is a red-and-gold variant of the Cyber Magician, found in the same chest during a New Game Plus run.

Cyber Illusionist

This green-tinted version of the Cyber Magician suit was added alongside the Hard difficulty mode for the Boss Challenges.

Cybernetic Bondage

Cybernetic Bondage is a criss-crossed harness-like suit in red and white, with bold exospine decor on the back.

How to Get:

The pattern is found in a passcode-locked chest inside the Oasis area of the Great Desert, in the shallow section of the pool where you can find Clyde fishing.

The passcode to the box is found in a hidden room accessed by following the wall running north from the southernmost part of the map (north from the elevator up to Xion). Follow the wall until you see a mechanized grabbing ledge that will pull you up, then platform until you can enter a small room with a dead body that will award you with the Galaxy Alan’s Lament memorystick and the passcode.

Like other passcode-based chests, you can’t even try to unlock the chest without having obtained the passcode.

How to Get:

The Daily Biker pattern can be purchased from Lyle’s shop in Xion, which must be unlocked by completing the Stolen Treasure side quest.

New Game Plus Variant:

The Four-Second Biker outfit is a red-tinted variant of the Daily Biker, with a patterned jacket and a pair of black riding gloves added. Acquire it from Lyle after beginning a New Game Plus run.

Daily Denim

Daily Denim comes across like the Daily Biker outfit without the jacket, though EVE’s cropped sides here show off the high-waisted cut of the jeans.

Daily Force

Daily Force combines a boldly-cut gray sweater with a denim skirt and thigh-high socks.

The Daily Mascot outfit doesn’t look all that much like a mascot suit, but it does feature an attractive wide-neck dress done in black and green.

How to Get:

The pattern is located in Matrix 11’s Underground Sewers, in the southern corridor. At one point, enemies will bust through one of the walls to attack you. Kill them and explore the space they broke in from to see the chest containing the pattern.

New Game Plus Variant:

The Comfort Mascot outfit is a blue-and-grey variant of the Daily Mascot, with an additional racing stripe down the center of EVE’s back.

Daily Sailor

The Daily Sailor outfit returns to the same high-waisted jeans as the Daily Denim and Biker Nano Suits, but adds a sailor-style top with its telltale collar and tie.

How to Get:

The pattern is located in a chest located in the northern portion of the Great Desert area map. Head north-northwest from the massive buried tunnel, to a cluster of ruined buildings just shy of the northern border of the map. Fluffy Bear

Now here’s a mascot suit. The Fluffy Bear is a straight-up teddy bear costume, though one that features the same long legs as EVE and includes a mounting point for her ponytail, for some reason.

How to Get:

The costume doesn’t need to be crafted – instead, you’ll earn Fluffy Bear from the Memories in the Doll side quest, which is unlocked after returning to Xion from Matrix 11. You’ll need to revisit that area to retrieve the needed quest item.

New Game Plus Variant:

The Pink Bear outfit replaces the New Game Plus quest reward from completing Memories in the Doll a second time, and is an altogether more festive take on the Fluffy Bear design.

Holiday Rabbit

Holiday Rabbit is a bunny girl outfit cut down to swimsuit lines, but retaining the bunny ears and tail.

La Vie En Rose

Similar in construction to the Black Rose outfit, La Vie en Rose is the reward for one of the longer side quests in Stellar Blade.

Advertisement. Keep scrolling for more

How to Get:

Unlocking La Vie en Rose requires completing the Recruit Password Specialists request from the bulletin board. Unlike most other passcode chests, the chest at the end of the quest requires locating several database entries, each of which contains one letter of the passcode. After collecting all six relevant entries, you’ll be able to enter the passcode into the chest inside the wrecked ship in the Wasteland near Arvess Levoire.

New Game Plus Variant:

La Vie En Rose does not have a New Game Plus variant, though the Black Rose and Angelic Rose costumes are based on the same model and mesh with alternative color schemes.

Motivation

This skimpy idol-style outfit uses massive bows as its major element in orange and white.

How to Get:

The Motivation outfit can be found on Eidos 9, in a chest after EVE slides along a long path on her way to Lily’ Atelier. The Resonance Suit swaps the orange-and-white color scheme for a red-and-black scheme with a bit more vaguely christian iconography on top. It’s available from the same location, so your New Game Plus run will need to also max out Lily’s Affinity and unlock Eidos 9.

For those looking for additional challenge, clearing the mode on Hard difficulty will also unlock the suit.

New Game Plus Variant:

There is no New Game Plus Variant of the Neurolink Suit, as you need to complete the campaign at least once in order to unlock Boss Challenge mode and earn the suit in the first place, making it technically New Game Plus-exclusive.

Ocean Maid

Ocean Maid is a frilly swimsuit that evokes the style of a maid outfit cropped down for a day at the beach.

Planet Diving Suit (2nd)

You can pick up the Planet Diving Suit (2nd) from Roxanne’s Shop in Xion for 3 Vitcoin at Affinity Level 2.

The Planet Diving Suit (2nd) V2 is an updated version of the 2nd wave uniform, going for a racing-lined blue-and-white color scheme with plenty of paneling and shiny blue lights.

Planet Diving Suit (3rd)

The 3rd-wave Planet Diving Suit uniform was the “poster child” Stellar Blade uniform for earlier in the game’s marketing cycle, when the early screenshots and renders of EVE showed her wearing the outfit’s signature Airborne Squad bomber jacket.

How to Get:

The Planet Diving Suit (3rd) is unlocked in Abyss Levoire, the second of two maze-like areas EVE visits during the game. You’ll see the chest in a circular glass-walled room in the Closed Lobby area of the maze. Entering the room will cause a combat challenge to begin, where lasers begin rotating around the floor while enemies wake up to attack you.

Jump over the rotating lasers while shooting the enemies (target their red grenade pouches for better ammo efficiency). Once you clear the challenge, the outfit will be yours.

New Game Plus Variant:

Planet Diving Suit (3rd) V2 mainly recolors the flight jacket using a brighter orange leather material and an alternative back design. It’s available in the same place on New Game Plus.

Planet Diving Suit (6th)

This bright red bodysuit features a sailor uniform-style collar and a see-through shawl that obscures EVE’s LED backlighting.

How to Get:

The 6th-wave Planet Diving Suit is available from the first time you visit Xion if you pre-ordered Stellar Blade, but is unlockable during a “True Ending” run. Visiting Eidos 9 by maxing out Lily’s affinity will land you the opportunity to pick it up.

Once in Eidos 9, while traveling over the rooftops, you’ll see the opportunity to drop down to a balcony close to the water’s surface, you’ll want to drop down facing a small island with a pair of wrecked cars. Use your jump and air dash to reach the island (you can swim for very short periods without dying here, going longer if you bunny hop in and out of the water).

From the white wrecked car, face a large building with pillars and cross the water to get to the ledge around its perimeter. Once at the building, move around and find some yellow-painted climbing ledges to enter a hole inside the attic area. Explore the building’s rooms until you find the chest with the costume pattern inside.

Check out our Endings Guide to see what to do to unlock Eidos 9.

New Game Plus Variant:

The Planet Diving Suit (6th) V2 is a New Game Plus-exclusive recolor of the suit located in the same place, using blue-and-white patterns instead of red-and-black.

Planet Diving Suit (7th)

Advertisement. Keep scrolling for more

The 7th-wave Diving Suit is EVE’s default outfit. It features bright green panels and straps that hang over EVE’s exposed shoulders and arms.

How to Get:

You’ll start the game with this.

New Game Plus Variant:

The Planet Diving Suit (7th) has no New Game Plus variant. It does have a variant acquired in a standard game, though, detailed below.

Planet Diving Suit (7th) V2

This “V2” version of the Planet Diving Suit (7th) looks like a New Game Plus recolor, going by its orange-and-black paneling, but it’s actually found in the main game. In fact this suit has its own New Game Plus variant.

How to Get:

This suit pattern is found in Eidos 7, after defeating the Abaddon boss monster and taking the monorail to enter the Flooded Commercial Zone area. Descend to the lower floor of the platform and enter through a slightly open door to see the chest containing the pattern.

New Game Plus Variant:

The Planet Diving Suit (7th) V3 is a red-and-black variant of the V2 color scheme, and ends up looking relatively similar to the default colors of the Planet Diving Suit (6th) costume. It’s available in New Game Plus from the same chest.

Prototype Planet Diving Suit

If the Prototype Planet Diving Suit looks familiar, that’s because it is: This Nano Suit is essentially the same as the Planet Diving Suit (3rd), minus that suit’s leather flight jacket. As revealed by the loss of the jacket, the suit is sleeveless and almost entirely missing its sides, kept together by a simple pair of fasteners at the ribs. It also features a dangling tail feature.

How to Get:

You can purchase the Prototype Planet Diving Suit from Roxanne’s Shop in Xion, after you’ve visited Abyss Levoire. It’ll cost some Vitcoin to buy.

New Game Plus Variant:

During a New Game Plus run, you can revisit Roxanne’s shop to purchase the Prototype Planet Diving Suit V2, an orange-colored variant.

Punk Top

The Punk top is a suit of sensible, smoke-dyed streetwear, with a pair of of distressed jeans and a denim jacket over a black printed sports bra. It was designed by Shift Up with the help of real-life cosplayer MyBoo.

How to Get:

The Punk Top is found in Eidos 9, during a game where you’ve maxed out Lily’s Affinity to access the area. You’ll need to proceed to the multi-level parking building structure and move through it until you you find a gap in the wall marked with a hand-painted “Exit” sign. You’ll climb out and grab the ledges, but notice that there’s a small ledge made up of some collapsed wire fencing just out of jump range. Remember this ledge, and proceed to the roof of the parking building by ascending via the grabbing ledges and climbing back inside.

From the roof of the parking building, jump onto the nearby tram rail and look back at the parking building. You should have enough room to jump and air-dash to the small wire ledge, and find a series of grab railings on a different corner of the building. Climb down to shore level and grab the pattern from the chest.

New Game Plus Variant:

Revisit Eidos 9 in New Game Plus to obtain the Punk Style Suit, a more sober, biker-style version of the Punk top.

Racer’s High

With a bright red checkerboard patterned top and a boldly cut and laced unitard below, the Racer’s High outfit gives the impression of speed by making EVE look almost like she’s streaking.

Advertisement. Keep scrolling for more

How to Get:

You’ll find the Racer’s High design pattern in a small chest in the Wasteland map, to the north of the Solar Tower area. It’s on a ledge located below an elevated plateau. We recommend you only try getting it after earning the Double Jump and Air Dash upgrades, which vastly increase EVE’s mobility.

New Game Plus Variant:

Racer’s High has a gold-colored variant called Speeder’s High in New Game Plus, available from the same chest.

Red Passion

Red Passion is all business up front, and all party in the back. Viewed from the fore, the outfit looks like a rather conservatively cut blouse and a normal pair of tight pants. However, the rear view reveals a fully transparent back panel and calf-exposing leg cutouts.

How to Get:

You’ll find the design pattern in a chest within the Eidos 7 Construction Area, which you enter after crossing over from the Flooded Commercial Zone. While solving the area’s environmental challenges you’ll get a chance to operate a large crane to maneuver a girder across a gap, forming a bridge to allow access to the door on the other side.

Before setting the girder in place, swing it and destroy the cracked wall panels on either side of the door, then set the girder to form a bridge towards the hollow areas beyond. On the right side of the puzzle you’ll find the chest with the pattern.

New Game Plus Variant:

The New Game Plus variant of Red Passion is Emerald Passion, a deep green version of the outfit.

Raven Suit

The skin-tight Raven Suit matches the design worn by Raven, an Airborne Squad member who plays a role in the Stellar Blade main story, which I won’t spoil here.

How to Get:

The Raven Suit is immediately unlocked upon starting a New Game Plus run. You can even switch to it as soon as you gain control of EVE at the start of the run.

New Game Plus Variant:

As a New Game Plus-exclusive Nano Suit, the Raven Suit is its own New Game Plus variant.

Skin Suit

In its way, the Skin Suit is the first Nano Suit EVE has access to other than her default uniform. As famously publicized, outside of some telltale metal greebling on EVE’s contours, the Skin Suit makes her look pretty much naked.

She’ll also fight “naked,” as using the Skin Suit disable’s EVE’s shield bar, making her far more vulnerable to damage and exacting a price of sorts from players that want to use it.

How to Get:

The Skin Suit is already present from the start of the game. All you have to do to activate it is unequip EVE’s current Nano Suit.

New Game Plus Variant:

The Skin Suit does not have a New Game Plus variant.

Sky Ace

The Sky Ace costume is vaguely reminiscent of the getup worn by Kaya, the proprietor of Sisters’ Junk, a shop in Xion. It combines a loose-fitting work shirt worn like a tunic over a strap-festooned pair of leggings.

Advertisement. Keep scrolling for more

How to Get:

The Sky Ace appears in the game as a quest reward for completing the Encounter side quest. You’ll be sent into the Northern Great Desert area, to the far northwest of the map, where you’ll have to clear a boss encounter.

Clearing the quest will earn you the Nano Suit.

New Game Plus Variant:

Completing the Encounter side quest again in New Game Plus earns you Air Ace, a recolored variant of Sky Ace. Air Ace has a lighter-colored shirt and darker full stockings in place of strappy tights.

Sporty Yellow

In the grand tradition of martial arts-adept characters wearing yellow althetic wear, EVE dons a bright yellow track suit in this costume. Rather than telltale black piping, though, the Sporty Yellow suit uses a pair of glowing LEDs and some trailing strips to accentuate her movement.

How to Get:

The Sporty Yellow suit is found in a chest at the end of the Life of the Scavengers side quest, which is found in Xion, inside Enya’s bar. The quest will send you to the Wasteland Forbidden Area location, which is a large, sinister-looking pit on the far east-northeastern edge of the map.

Advertisement. Keep scrolling for more

Descending into the pit for the side quest will trigger a boss fight with the Brute, an enemy you first fought in Eidos 7. Checking the area it breaks out of after the fight will reveal the chest with the design pattern inside.

New Game Plus Variant:

Sporty Energy is a black-and-blue variant of the Sporty Yellow suit, and is found in New Game Plus from completing the same side quest.

Stargazer Suit

The Stargazer Suit is a fancy-looking Nano Suit that is essentially a yellow-gold recolor of the Keyhole Dress.

How to Get:

Unfortunately, the Stargazer Suit is exclusive to the Digital Deluxe edition of Stellar Blade, and to date there seems to be no way to earn it in the base game.

Those who do have the Digital Deluxe version of the game, though, can find it inside a special Deluxe chest located near the landing pad once you first arrive in Xion.

New Game Plus Variant:

Advertisement. Keep scrolling for more

There is no New Game Plus Variant of the Stargazer Suit, but the Keyhole Dress it’s based on does have a New Game Plus Variant.

Wasteland Adventurer

With a black cropped leather top over jeans, the Wasteland Adventurer Nano Suit emphasizes relatively practical travel over the more fanciful suit designs.

Stellar Blade Drone Kits

If Stellar Blade‘s characters were to be ranked by overall screen time and presence in game, the true main character of the game besides EVE would be the drone. Armored

This slightly more aggressive look for the drone favors sharper armor reminiscent of the robotic enemies found in some spots of the wasteland.
