Luxury Airline BeOnd To Offer Apple Vision Pro To Passengers Instead Of Regular Inflight Entertainment

In another episode of mixed reality taking over our sensory experiences, Tero Taskila, Chairman and CEO of Beond Airlines, has announced the introduction of the Apple Vision Pro, priced at $3499, aimed at enhancing the airline’s commitment to offering a premium travel experience. The device boasts cutting-edge technology, featuring the M2 and R1 chips for computing and processing information from various sensors and microphones, delivering a seamless mixed reality content viewing experience. Designed with a travel mode specifically tailored for air travel, the Vision Pro allows passengers to enjoy movies on a large virtual screen, enhancing long-haul flights’ comfort and privacy. Beond Airlines plans to leverage this feature to showcase regular content and captivating visuals of resort destinations and activities in the Maldives, amplifying passengers’ anticipation and excitement before arrival.

Scheduled to commence in July 2024, Beond Airlines‘ service will be available on all flight services from major cities worldwide to Malé, Maldives. However, Beond Airlines has yet to clarify the criteria for selecting passengers for the Vision Pro experience. Additionally, concerns regarding hygiene, especially in a post-pandemic era, may arise due to shared headsets.
